
Yo! Chinese Music Blog’s first ever singing competition has landed, the “Loud & Proud” Singing Competition. The competition is open to everybody, and judge by the members of chinese music forum. Here are the contest details!
Rules:
1. Each participant only allow to submit one contest entry.
2. Only chinese song is allowed.
3. The winner is judge by the most vote received by chinese music forum members (each member can cast only one vote).
4. Submit your entry before 24th May 2006.
How to Participate:
1. Choose your song.
2. Record it with any recording software, and save it under either mp3 or wav format.
3. Send it to contest@chinesemusicblog.com with the song title, the artist, your full name and address.
4. We will post up your song at chinese music forum (click here to join if you haven’t). The judges will comment on it, but there will be no voting yet.
5. The voting (by all of the chinese music forum members) will only start after the closing date (24th May 2006).

Important Questions:
Q: I’d love to join, but I’m chinese illiterate. Can I sing English song instead?
A: No. Actually, the main point of the competition is for the chinese illiterates to sing chinese song(and have fun while doing that), loudly and proudly (hence the title! :D ). And yes, we will give you all the help you can get.
Q: My Windows Sound Recorder only allow me to record 60 seconds :(
A: You may download Audacity, a free audio recorder, or try Christine’s advice.
Q: Is Rapping allowed?
A: Woohoo, bring it on! :D
Q: Arghhh, I can’t sing! How can I join the fun?
A: Well, it’s a hard one. Ermm, you can be one of the judges then! ;)
